Snoop Dogg Quits Smoking Weed After Sudden Heart Attack

In what appears to be the most stunning news yet, rapper Snoop Dogg has announced that he no longer intends to use cannabis anymore.

The 45-year old rapper, real name Calvin Broadus, has been a certified medical marijuana patient in California for almost a decade. However, according to his doctor Andre Young, he has been adamant about never touching pot again after a near-death experience late Wednesday night at his residence.

"He just doesn't want to risk the potential health consequences of continued marijuana abuse, particularly at his age when another event like this could potentially be fatal" said Dr. Young.

While The American Tribune does not endorse drug use, we can't say we're thrilled about news that Snoop Dogg has given up being Snoop Dogg.
